Staff Profiles

Rick Craig - Director

Rick Craig

The Student Recreation and Fitness Center is the third facility Rick has opened. He was actively involved in opening recreation centers at San Diego State University (1997) and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (1993). He considers himself lucky to be involved in the significant achievements at the three CSU campuses. Rick's main responsibility is to ensure Recreational Sports offers great facilities, programs and services to the CSUSB community, especially students. Students voted for the new facility and their support is instrumental to the success of recreation and fitness at CSUSB. Rick reminds Recreational Sports staff to never forget their contribution. The new Student Recreation and Fitness Center is an incredible facility and it is Rick's goal to keep the campus community continually impressed by our service. Rick provides support and guidance to all Recreational Sports staff and assists them in their efforts to provide high quality programs.  Our staff our known for the light blue staff shirts.  As you can see, this has led to Rick earning the nickname of "Papa Smurf."

Andrea Du Bois - Fitness Coordinator

Andrea Du Bois

Andrea's job here at Rec Sports is simple: real simple. She's in charge of making sure the desks can hold our feet, when anyone feels like relaxing, and spending the Center's money. When these duties have been fulfilled, she can usually be seen instructing instructors and lifting the spirits of lifters. Making people happy is what she does, but if the favor is not returned.... you will be on her bad side for at most: 1/2 hour!
