Big Sur is a rugged stretch of the breathtaking California coast; with mountains bordered around you can’t miss this soulful destination. Big Sur is known for its abundance of wildlife, winding roads, seaside cliffs, and misty coastlines; the seaside highway offers some of the most spectacular views of Big Sur’s unforgettable coastline from the various angles and pullovers. Not only will you be snapping future award-winning shots on the cliffs, but also adventuring into this exquisite wilderness with the CSUSB Outdoors on an authentic exploration.

Itinerary:

Day 1: We will meet at the SRWC at 800am, load the van up with some gears and necessities, and hit the roads toward Big Sur (7 hrs. 394 mi). We will stop to grab lunch and dinner (not provided by the Outdoors) and refuel the van before reaching our destination. Upon arrival at the campsite, we will set the camp up and get some sleeps for the next day.

Day 2: We will wake up early at 600am, eat breakfast, pack lunch, and get ready for some kayaking by the beach before noon. In the afternoon, we will explore more of the coast and take to some picturesque hikes, before returning to our campsite for some dinner and well-deserved rest.

Day 3: We will begin our last day of the trip by waking up early for some breakfast. The meal will be followed by a quick takedown of our camp and some hiking in the trails nearby. After we catch some breaths and settle down from the hikes, we will bid the beautiful Big Sur farewell and hit the roads once again – this time home bound. We will stop for dinner along the way before reaching our destination the SRWC at 1000pm.
