How to Register
San Bernardino Campus
Registration for all trips and programs takes place in person at the CSUSB Student Recreation and Fitness Center membership desk during regular operating hours. For more information give us a call at 537-CAMP. Some programs do not require registration, are open to non members and youth. See program description for details.
Palm Desert Campus
Registration for trips and programs takes place in person at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus Administrative Offices (RG203) during regular operating hours. Call 909-537-2348 for the campus phone outside RG203 to check availability and to complete registration information. After completing registration you will make full payment by cash, check or debit card (no credit cards) to the Administrative Office. Some programs do not require registration, are open to nonmembers and youth. See program description for details.
Day 1: The trip begins Monday morning when all the participants meet at the SRFC at 8:00am and help the leaders pack up the gear. Once the gear is packed up, there will be a short introduction/ice breaker before hitting the road for a 387 mile, 6.5 hour drive to Havasupai parking lot. We will stop for dinner (not provided) and gas as needed. When we arrive at the parking lot we will get settled in for the next day. As for the rest of the night, we will play games, and eventually hit the hay.
Day 2: Tuesday starts off with breakfast at 6:00am. We will then make our lunch before heading off to Supai village. During our 8 mile hike we will have lunch while enjoying the breath taking views of Havasu Canyon. When we get to Supai, we will take a break and enjoy the town for a bit and check in. Havasupai campground is our next destination which is 2 miles out. Once we get there we will set up our tents and prep for our trek to Upper Navajo Falls and Havasu Falls before heading back to our campsite to relax and have dinner.
Day 3: Wednesday is the halfway point of our trip. We will start of the day by eating breakfast around 7:00 am. After packing lunch, the next falls on our list is Mooney Falls and Beaver Falls. Accomplishing both Mooney Falls and Beaver Falls will take the whole day (6 mile round trip). Along the way we will stop for lunch and enjoy the views. Depending on time we will head back to the campground before dark and set up dinner.
Day 4: On Thursday Breakfast will start early before the sun rises since we have a long day ahead of us. Our trek to the Colorado River will be a long one. 15 miles round trip from the campground, this hike is the ultimate Havasupai adventure. After accomplishing the long hike, we will head back to the campground for a well deserve rest and have some dinner.
Day 5: Friday, our last day in Havasupai will consist of breakfast at 8:00 am and saying our last goodbyes Havasupai. Then we will walk our way back up to Hilltop, Load up the van, and head back home to CSUSB. Along the way we will stop for dinner (Not provided bring money).
