Mount San Jacinto stands 10,834 feet above sea level, and is the second highest mountain in Southern California. It is home to magnificent granite rock faces, alpine forests, and wildflower covered meadows. Our journey begins on Friday as we depart campus for the short drive to Chino Canyon and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The tram travels upwards almost 6000? from the canyon floor to the edge of Mt. San Jacinto at 8,516?. Using the expansive trail system park, we will spend the next three days backpacking through the wilderness and exploring panoramic views of the San Bernardino Mountains to the north and the Pacific Ocean to our west. This is a backcountry trip, we sleep in tents, carry all our gear, cook our own meals, and poop in the woods! We return to campus Sunday afternoon. Price includes transportation, meals, backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and all additional camping gear
