The City of Big Bear Lake is located in the San Bernardino mountain range at approximately 6,750 ft. (2,060 m) with plenty of recreation activities and sights to fill a whole weekend. It features a man-made dam which holds all the snow-melt and creates the lake. Surrounding the lake is a thriving forest full of pine trees such as the Ponderosa pine, Jeffrey pine, Sugar pine, Lodgepole pine, and many more. We will meet at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center at 8am to pack up the van and make sure we all have the necessary and proper gear and attire for a successful trip. It’s then a short 1 hour drive up the San Bernardino Mountains. Once there we will partake in 2-4hrs of a meaningful service project. Afterwards, we shall have lunch and get ourselves situated for kayaking in Big Bear Lake! We will stop for dinner before heading home.
