Yosemite is home to countless waterfalls and the best time to see these falls is during the spring. We spend 2 nights tent camping in the valley and 2 days visiting 8 of the best waterfalls the park has to offer. Heights of the falls we will visit range from 2,425 ft. Yosemite Falls to 370 ft. Illilouette Fall. Along the way we will also enjoy Yosemite’s deep valleys, grand meadows, and granite monoliths like Half Dome and El Capitan.
Day 1: We will be meeting promptly at 12:00 pm at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center to load up the van and set off on a journey to Yosemite. We will be driving about 7.5 hours with a stop for dinner (not included) and a couple of stops for gas. We will arrive at our campground in the Yosemite Valley and set up camp enjoying a wonderful night under the stars.
Day 2: We will start off the day with some hearty breakfast. Then we will make lunch and prepare for our hike. We will be hiking around 4 miles to see 4 of the 8 waterfalls. Along the way, we will be stopping for lunch. Once finished we will head out to see another waterfall. Next, we will head back to camp to eat dinner and relax for the evening.
Day 3: Once we have had a good breakfast we will start the day off with a hike to see the last of the 8 waterfalls we set out to see. After we have finished our sightseeing we will pack up the van and head back to the SRWC, stopping for dinner (not provided) and gas as needed.
