CSUSB Recreation and Wellness is proud to announce Salvador Avila as the December All Star of the Month. Sal is one of three Intramural Program Supervisors who oversees all aspects of the program from signing teams up, preparing the facility for games, and officiating when necessary. Sal always has smile on his face when helping participants and other employees. He goes above and beyond to make sure participants have a good time! His positive attitude and strong work ethic truly reflects what it means to be a great team member. We can always rely on Sal to treat participants well and make good decisions. He is constantly working to improve the intramural program and ensures that safety is important. Sal is a role model to other student employees and is truly dedicated to the success of CSUSB  Recreation and Wellness. Thanks Sal!

CSUSB Recreation and Wellness is proud to announce Alexander "Sasha" Boice as the November All Star of the Month. Alex is the Outdoors Program Supervisor where he oversees all aspects of the program getting business permits to cleaning the Dutch ovens. He always has smile on his face when helping our members and other employees. He goes above and beyond on making sure members are pleased and happy. His positive attitude and strong work ethic truly reflects what it means to be a great team member. We can always rely on Alex to treat customers well, make good decisions and laugh at Mark's jokes. He is constantly working to improve our program and ensures that each outing goes as smoothly. Alex is a role model to other student employees and is truly dedicated to the success of the Recreation and Wellness. Alex out of all the Outdoors supervisors you are the most recent!

Recreation and Wellness is proud to announce Ashley Thomas as the September Rock Star of the Month. Ashley is such a joy to work with and has brought great qualities to the RecWell team. Ashley has been our event specialist for the last 2 years and is amazing at what she does. She coordinated the SRWC's 2015 Late Night event, which brought over 8,000 people! Ashley has planned over 15 events for our students and SWRC members. She is well organized and loves what she does. Ashley will be graduating in December and will be off to start a new chapter in Michigan with her soon to be husband. We will miss her dearly as she has left her paw print here at the SRWC!

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Vittorio Santiago as the May Rock Star of the Month. Vittorio works in the Marketing program for the department as a graphic designer. He comes to work with a "sure, no problem" attitude and tackles each project with true creativity and dedication. No matter the project, he is open to feedback and consistently does his best with each. From invitations, to flyers, to digital screens, he is constantly trying to bring our designs to the "next level." Often, his work is noticed by other departments. He is asked to design projects for other offices such as the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. This goes to show that not only does he impact the Student Rec & Fitness Center, but the CSUSB community as well.

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Kaytlin Gretzner as the February Rock Star of the Month. Kaytlin started working at the SRFC about a year ago. She joined the Membership Services team with such energy to learn and to excel. Often, Kaytlin received compliments from her co-workers as a dedicated, hard worker with so much passion for serving our members. She has constantly proven to be a great mentor for all new and veteran employees. She brings forth the best attitude and consistently demonstrates phenomenal customer service. Because of these and many other qualities, Kaytlin recently earned a position as a Customer Service Manager for the SRFC. She will continue to strive to make Rec Sports the best place to be at CSUSB!

Cameron Scott January 2015

Department: Personal Training

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Cameron Scott as the January Rock Star of the Month. Cameron came to our department in the summer of 2012. As a Personal Trainer, learning new training styles and techniques is essential to meeting the needs of your diverse clientele and Cameron tries accomplishing these things every day. He is in the process of obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He earned his first personal training certification three years ago and is working to obtain another one through the American College of Sports Medicine. Not only does he excel in Personal Training, he excels in Group Exercise as well. You can catch him on Tuesdays and Thursdays, blasting great tunes and challenging members to a great work out in classes such as Boot Camp!

Cameron enjoys training those new to fitness. He takes pride in helping members correctly start, or return, on the path to fitness. Cameron assures his clients just the right amount of challenge at every fitness session to keep progress plentiful.

Edwin is a dedicated and caring person. As a Customer Service Manager, Edwin treats all staff with respect and is willing to work with everyone. He always has a positive attitude and has been an inspiration to all of the staff he works with. Edwin makes work fun for everyone he comes into contact with. He is also a mentor to staff and a perfect example of a team player. We are all very proud of him and the positive energy he brings to our family of Recreational Sports.

Carleigh Sconyers November 2014

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Carleigh Sconyers as the November Rock Star of the Month. Carleigh began
working for the SRFC in the Fall of 2011. For the past three years Carleigh has been working for the
Fitness Department, formally known as Operations. She enjoys being with our patrons and putting smiles on their
faces by using her funny sense of humor to keep them laughing on her shift. She has shown a passion for the
department and it shows in our training of new staff as with her help they become stronger, independent and more
condent workers. The best part about watching her is how proudly she does her daily job duties and demonstrates her
knowledge and skills by being able to make the right decisions when issues arise. I am grateful to have Carleigh
on our team. Nothing like having a walking example of what we consider our "Gold Standard."

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Brandon Dover as the October Rock Star of the Month. Brandon provides graphic design for our marketing team at the Rec Center. In just over a year, Brandon has produced such high quality work, that often he is commended by other departments across campus. When he is given an assignment, Brandon works closely with the requester to make sure the vision of the piece is demonstrated in the design. He pushes himself to learn new techniques in order to promote the programs and services offered by the SRFC. One project Brandon truly pours endless hours and creativity into is the CSUSB Outdoors Guide. This project fully depicts all of the wonderful excursions the program has to offer. The end product is one that is inviting and welcomes any and all participants to engage in our trips and services. He has brought a new look and creative dimension to this and many other projects done by our graphics team.

Christie Sanchez September 2014

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Christie Sanchez as the September Rock Star of the Month. Christie is such a joy to work with and has brought great qualities to the Rec Sports team.  Christie started as a staff member for the membership team and poured her heart and soul into the customer service she demonstrated to the members of the SRFC. She always went above and beyond to assist with each situation, treating each situation with the utmost care. Quickly, Christie became a mentor for other staff.  More recently, she was promoted to the Membership Services supervisor. With her great leadership skills, she has been able to build a strong team for Membership Services. With more than half of her staff graduating and leaving the team over the summer, Christie was in charge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training over 15 new employees. This can be a daunting task, as the information needed to succeed at the membership desk can be overwhelming. Christie tackled this duty with logic, passion and lots of patience. She revamped the training approach, creating more of a one-on-one mentoring structure for the incoming employees. She tailored the training to meet the needs of the trainers and the new staff. Overall, the process was a success. We have continued to provide the high level of customer service our members expect, largely in part because of Christie’s hard work and dedication.

Recreational Sports is extremely proud to announce Amanda Bryan as the August Rock Star of the Month. Amanda has been an outstanding SRFC employee since she first started working in summer of 2013 as a lifeguard. Amanda is known to be able to take on any task presented to her and naturally overcome the challenges that come with such responsibilities. Her dedication to aquatics and rec sports is reflected in her everyday work as she is always looking for ways to grow professionally whether it be in aquatics teaching our community how to swim or as a professional rescuer, life guarding at our aquatic facility ensuring member safety. Amanda is the definition of a Rock Star and aquatics is honored and privileged to have someone like her on our team.

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Patrick Bryan as the July Rock Star of the Month. Patrick's enthusiasm and dedication for Rec Sports can been seen through his many job titles he has held here at the SRFC; which include fitness staff, personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and water safety instructor. Even with all these hats he manages to keep a smiling face and welcoming attitude while working. Ever since Patrick became an employee of Rec Sports a year ago he has been a shining star. He took the initiative to enroll in the Personal Training Development course to become a personal trainer and goes out of his way to make sure a member's question are answered and issues solved. He definitely embodies what it means to go above and beyond the call of duty. Patrick is the "Gold Standard" for others to reach and with his level of commitment to this program; we see nothing but even greater things coming from him.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Teasylyn Winder as June's Rock Star of the Month.  Teasylyn has worked for Membership Services for close to three years.  In that time she has provided such leadership and exemplary customer service to our guests.  Her great personality and ability to assess any situation makes all interactions with her a pleasant one.  Throughout her years here at Recreational Sports, Teaslyn has become an amazing leader and mentor to the staff members she works with.  As a Membership Staff, she has used her positive attitude to spread cheer to the SRFC members during her shifts.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Justin Minck, the May Rock Star of the Month. Justin started at Rec Sports just a few quarters ago but in that time Justin's positive attitude, strong work ethics and attention to detail has helped our program excel. When Justin is at work you're confident that you have the right person on the job. Justin is able to do twelve things at once and keep a smile on his face. Since joining our team Justin has become known for excellent phone manners, quick wit and ability to work under pressure. Justin's enthusiasm is present in everything he does whether helping cleaning up from a trip, briefing our volunteer leaders or brainstorming Outdoors next big adventure. Justin is a role model to other student employees and is truly dedicated to the success of the Rec Center. Justin is a true Rock Star.

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Patrick Lauderdale as the April Rock Star of the Month. Patrick began teaching classes for the SRFC in the winter of 2013. With his wide range of fitness and cycling experience, six year years as a certified cycling instructor around the Southern California Area, we did not hesitate to hiring and having him start teaching soon after. 

Patrick quickly became known for his lively music and intensity he brings to each of his cycling classes. His goal is to teach and inspire people through his passion of music thorugh the ride. Many of his students would say he takes them them to their edge, pushing them to reach new a place they never thought possible. Recreational sports is lucky to have an instructor who dedicates so much time to his craft and the students who attend his class!

Recreational Sports is proud to announce Erin Brogan-Forbes as the March Rock Star of the month. Erin came to Rec Sports in 2009, as she began her studies at CSUSB. She started her position with the Membership Service team. Erin was a quiet and reserved employee, whose calm demeanor was apreciated by many. Her customer service approach was unique and she was able to assist with any situation that came her way. In fall 2012, she was promoted to a Customer Service Manager position for the SRFC. She embraced this challenge and flourished as a strong leader for the department and shortly after, was hired as the supervisor for Membership Services. Erin has assisted not only her staff but all programs of the Rec Center to provide excellent sustomer service to those who participate in our services.

Vince Perez January 2014

Recreational Sports is proud to announe Vince Perez as the January Rock Star of the Month.

At a modest 5 ft. 6in., Vince has a persnality of a giant! He comes int the Rec Center with such passion and energy. Whether he is working an early morning shift or greeting members late at night, Vince makes every effort to welcome our members. Other staff members look up to him as a mentor and enjoy working with him. Vince is an active participant of the SRFC programs. Specifically, when he is not working or in class, he spends most of his time on the court. He lives and breathes basketball. This provides him the opportunity to experience our programs and in turn he shares this passion with the members during each of his interactions. If his secret to success could be sold, he would be a very wealthy man!

We are so thankful that Niko has joined our team because he makes our members feel empowered. Niko greets each member with a smile and respect, making sure they feel at home in the SRFC. His positive encouraging attitude helps climbers accomplish goals and overcome their fears. Niko is also active in the community and on campus. He has recently been recognizing stand our climbers, making them feel accomplished. Niko is dedicated to the success of the SRFC's programs and is willing to do whatever it takes to help.

He is not only the President of Sigma Lambda Beta but an amazing student leader as a Customer Service Manager. He quickly became a model employee for the Operations team and was promoted to a CSM. He routinely goes above and beyond during his shifts to help out in any way he can, always putting others before himself. Recreational Sports is proud to announce Marcos Ordaz as the August Rock Star of the Month. Marcos Ordaz is the epitome of caring and dedication. Becoming Aquatics Supervisor in May, he has put his heart fully into the position. He exceeds the expectations of our participants' by making sure they are always informed and listened to. Marcos also makes sure their needs are quickly met. Likewise, Marcos is always there for his staff. Communicating well with everyone on his staff is something he takes pride in, to ensure a positive atmosphere at the pool. Her vibrant personality brings smiles to both our participants and employees. She deeply cares about others and it shows. She makes everyone else around her better. She is diligent in her life guarding duties and has been recognized by Dr. Tomas Morales, CSUSB President, for her excellence during the Disability Sports Festival on campus. Her critical thinking and swift judgment keeps the pool safe for our members. She is truly a Rock Star.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Ashley Temm as the June Rock Star of the Month. Ashley currently works for the Marketing department as our very own Event Specialist. Thanks to her hard work, Recreational Sports has had some of our biggest and best events in the past year. From Snow Day to special events such as Tito's Healthy Food demos, even the Grand Opening Celebration of the Leadership Challenge Center, Ashley is always ready and willing to put in a hard day's work with a smile on her face. The marketing team is rising to new heights thanks to her incredible organizational abilities, her wonderful attitude, and excellent time management skills. She strives to bring CSUSB students and SRFC members plenty of opportunities to feel welcome and excited about our events.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Angel Saenz de Viteri as the May Rock Star of the Month. Angel is one of the most dedicated & self-motivated star we have. He has single handedly changed the culture of the Recreational Sports Sport Club program. Under his guidance, our program has tripled to six clubs. We now have Tennis, MMA, Table Tennis, Men & Women's Soccer, Cross Country, & Badminton. He has assisted with the chartering process for the student organizations. He is also the Men & Women's Sport Soccer Club Coach. He attends practices & team meetings. He is also seen everywhere on campus promoting the program. He can be seen at the Student Union, Library Lawn, Bookstore, Housing, & also at our very own SRFC. His work ethic is relentless.

We are honored to have Nez as part of the Rec Sports family. He arrives to every shift with a contagious smile, energy and an excitement to work. He holds himself to a very high standard of service. Often, Nez takes the initiative to mentor his coworkers in areas that may need improvement or to encourage them to keep trying. He believes the success of the team is truly a team effort. Members also appreciate his thoroughness and dedication to assisting their needs. His professionalism in a fine example of what the Rec Center stands for.

Nick Deponte March 2013

Department: Personal Training

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Nick Deponte as the March Rock Star of the Month. Nick currently works for the Fitness and Wellness Department as the Student Supervisor but this is not Nick's first position at Recreational Sports; he started off as a member of the Operations staff and was later hired as a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. As you can see Nick has served in many capacities here at the SRFC, this is attributed to his hard work, dedication, customer first attitude, leadership skills, and love for Recreational Sports and Fitness.
If you want to see next level, take a look at the Fitness Department and the strides it has taken since he has taken over the lead. He has helped implement the TRX® Suspension Training Class into the Group Exercise Schedule by being an Instructor; he has helped further our Trainers knowledge by designing the PT/ Instructor development meetings, and cut down on our canceled classes by showing his versatility and subbing so the class goes on. I cannot say enough about his contributions to what our Fitness Department is today.
Not only does Nick show his passion for CSUSB Recreation in the facility, he shows it outside the facility as he represented CSUSB SRFC at many National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) Regional and National Conferences. His passion and hard work at these conferences earned him a Graduate Assistantship to the University of Central Florida, where he will continue working in the field of Recreation as a Fitness GA, while working on his Masters in Kinesiology.

We are honored to have Camille on the Rec Sports team.  She is not only a star on the CSUSB Volleyball team but she is an amazing rockstar as a Customer Service Manager.  Camille started working for Rec Sports in January of 2012.  She quickly became a leader for the Operations team and was promoted to a CSM.  She routinely goes above and beyond during her shifts to help out in any way she can.  She anticipates the needs of the members and her co-workers and is willing to help however possible.  She brings such color and pizazz to the SRFC, from her bright smile to her incredible hairstyles!

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Manny Lopez the January Rock Star of the Month. From the first day Manny started working as a graphic designer we know we had a Rock Star in the making. Manny is not just a graphic design assistant at Recreational Sports he is part of our family. Manny's dedication, excitement and passion for his work shows and it's contagious to those around him. Manny makes us all better. Manny is often seen participating in the many programs Recreational Sports offers including the Climbing Wall, Group Ex and someday an Outdoors trip. Manny has earned the highly coveted "Go to Man" award. When you need the very best Manny is who you need. Manny always has the bigger picture in mind and anticipates the needs of the department. He is an excellent role model and ROCK STAR!

Francisco Yepes is a hard working and energetic Intramural staff. Francisco has a very positive attitude and is always upbeat and excited to be a part of Recreational Sports. He is very friendly and loves what he does. Although he is fairly new he operates as a solid veteran of the department and has even mentored other students. Francisco is constantly finding new challenges and areas to grow. He is truly involved with all things Recreational Sports. Department: Personal Training Group Exercise

Matt Haney started his journey with Recreational Sports about a year ago as a Personal Trainer and has done an amazing job in that year growing and now holding the duties of not only Personal Trainer but Cycle Fit, Flex Fit, and Hard Core Instructor.

Matt has been helping and caring for several clients over this year by designing fitness programs to assist them in getting the results they were looking for. With Matt's help the SRFC was able to successfully launch its first ever Cycle Fit Group Exercise class, he took on the task of not only becoming an instructor but a great instructor for us with packed classes every session. Matt has been a valuable member of Recreational Sports since the day he was hired. He has an extensive background in fitness which shows that he practices what he preaches, and proves day in and day out how much he loves helping other people succeed. He has certainly started his personal training and cycling instructor career off with a bang; Matt has a very promising career ahead of him.

Here at Recreational Sports we are blessed to have Matt a part of my team because he keeps our faces smiling with his great humor and positive attitude. I am excited to see how far Matt takes his career because he has so much potential to be one of the best trainers and cycling instructors around. Vanessa works for Marketing at Recreational Sports and has recently been promoted to Student Supervisor because of her excellent work and attribute. Vanessa has taken Rec Sports marketing to a new level and sees that the Rec Sports message is communicated effectively through a variety of means. Vanessa has excellent time management skills is usually two steps ahead of her supervisor (which he appreciates) in accomplishing needed task. She is detail oriented and sees that all of our programs are getting the promotion they need. Vanessa was the "go to" person for Late Night with Rec Sports 2012 and made it Rec Sports biggest and best event ever. When there is a marketing need we know Vanessa is the person to meet that need.

He takes it upon himself to make sure the membership area is clean and organized and makes sure to gain as much knowledge as possible about the SRFC and its many programs. He is currently the Customer Service Manager Supervisor and has helped develop our topic training program from its creation. He has helped to make Topic Trainings more fun and exciting for the student employees by converting this information into games that the students enjoy playing. He has also helped to revamp our RecConnections (employee orientation program). Daniel is a joy to work with and is willing to do what it takes to make sure that our members and students are getting the best experience when they enter the SRFC.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Kyle Best the April Rock Star of the Month. Kyle is not just a graphic design assistant at Recreational Sports he is part of our family. The quality of his work is second to none. When we need a project done and done right Kyle is the one we go to. We have had to hire 3 new staff members to try to replace Kyle as he will be graduating at the end of the quarter. He has done an excellent job mentoring them and we know Kyle will leave us in good hands. Kyle has often made a special trip to the SRFC to make a slight (or huge) design change requested by another staff member. He provides amazing customer service and is always patient with those he works with. Kyle is often one step ahead of us and anticipates department needs. He is an excellent role model and ROCK STAR!

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Stefanie Pace as the March 2012 Rock Star of the Month.  As a Customer Service Manager, Stefanie works extremely hard to bring her very best to the Rec Center.  When she is on duty, Stefanie will go above and beyond to help the members and staff of the SRFC.  She truly wants all to have a positive experience each time they visit.  

Because of her Rock Star skills, has been a pivotal component in offering our topic training program to the SRFC staff.  She helped revamp the series in hopes to encourage more staff to grab this opportunity to receive additional training.  Because of Stefanie's persistence, we have been able to offer workshops on communication, conflict resolution and risk and safety.  The response from other staff has been overwhelmingly positive.  We are grateful for the time and dedication she has given Rec Sports and this program.

Not only is Matt a certified personal trainer, he also teaches Butts n' Guts and BOSU Conditioning group exercise classes. Matt Williams is a hardworking, dedicated employee who is always willing to help out in any way he can. Often, he helps other instructors out by covering their classes or something simple as helping pro staff move boxes or tables. Whether he is working, working out or just hanging out he always has a smile and a positive attitude.

In addition to being a certified climbing wall instructor Trisha is also the Climbing Wall's lead route setter AND she is an awesome climber. Trisha has acted as the climbing wall supervisor when needed and is the person everyone goes to for the answers. Trisha is always is a good mode and her enthusiasm is infectious. Recreational Sports is proud to announce Bryanna Burns as the September Rock Star of the Month.  Bryanna is a true leader and contributes greatly in three positions.  She is a dynamic water safety instructor, lifeguard and customer service manager.  Recreational Sports can always count on Bryanna to provide feedback and input that is appropriate and useful.  Her ultimate goal was to ensure we provide safe and fun programs for our participants.  In addition, she would take it upon herself to help other lifeguards practice and improve their life saving skills. Ricardo started at Rec Sports as a volunteer trip leader for the Outdoor program and has been a great asset to our team ever since. In addition to volunteering to lead Outdoors trip he plans and prepares trips as well. When Ricardo is at work you can count on things getting done the right way and in a timely manner. He is always in a positive mode, has a smile on his face and takes initiative. Since joining our team Ricardo has repeatedly stepped up to when needed by leading a trip, covering the climbing wall or filling the role of supervisor for the summer. Ricardo‘s enthusiasm is present in everything he does whether cleaning up from a trip, researching a future trip or doing a food buy. Ricardo is a role model to other student employees and is truly dedicated to the success of the Rec Center. Ricardo does it all!

As the Fitness Supervisor, Ryan worked his “butts-n-guts” hard to deliver outstanding fitness experiences for our members. When a vacancy occurred with our full-time Fitness Coordinator, Ryan “lifted” his game and took over many of the responsibilities. His performance became HARD core to serve our members. Yet he was “flex”ible to “fit” into needs of the position. He did a great job “grappling” with the competing needs of school, personal training, group exercise, and making sure our members received the services they want. He even helped launch the Zumba program.

In addition to being the lead route setter Andre also leads trips for the Outdoors program and helps out coworkers whenever possible. Andre enthusiasm is present in everything he does from setting routes and belaying people to cleaning the climbing holds with a power washer. Having Andre on the climbing wall staff is like having Lebron James on your basketball team. He is that good! Andre is a role model to other student employees and is truly dedicated to the success of the Rec Center. Paul has always been the first to learn new rules, also implement our new online registration software, and he has always helped everyone around him. He engages all areas of our programs such as CSM, Outdoors, Aquatics, Membership Services, Operations, and the Climbing Wall. This has fostered good working relationships and helped bridge our staff. He has a great work ethic and has a smile that lights up the room. He is a school DJ and announces commercials for Recreational Sports. He stays late and even tries to work from home. His Intramural leagues are the most popular and most attended. His nick name is Mr. CSUSB because he won the CSUSB pageant. Paul puts in the hard the work and the results are undeniable. It is with great pride and admiration on an award well deserved to Paul Dudley, Mr. CSUSB.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Wayne Calzada as February's Rock Star of the Month. He has been such an asset to the Rec Sports team.  His co-workers say that on the "ladder of legitness", Wayne has achieved Sensei status. He is known for his cool, calm, and collected attitude. No matter the situation, Wayne knows just what to do and always does it with a smile. He has often approached management with ways to improve efficiency and communication in the Rec Center. Not only is he a great staff member, but he is an active participant in our programs.  He truly loves being part of the Rec Center community and we love having him.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Melissa Bernstein as the December Rock Star of the Month.  She has been a great member of the Rec Sports team.  Melissa is a hard working student and an excellent employee who is willing to give 100% time and time again.  She has been with the department for just over 3 years and has been a great constant for the members and the staff.  It is very important to Melissa that all who visit the Rec Center have a positive experience and always want to return.  Melissa is always willing to lend a hand when needed and goes the extra mile without being asked.  We truly appreciate this dedication to the success of the Rec Center.

Todd is a graphic design student assistant at Recreational Sports. He produces amazing flyers along with other amazing graphic designs. You could call him an artist, as many others do. Other CSUSB Departments frequently ask for his services. Todd provides amazing customer service and is always patient, which isn’t always easy with graphic neophytes. Todd consistently deals with opinions changing, and does so with ease. Finally, he is proactive in improving the look of Recreational Sports. He is an excellent role model and ROCK STAR!

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Josh Brannen as the October Rock Star of the Month.  Josh has tirelessly helped out all program areas he works late, weekends, and early mornings. Under his direction intramurals has weekend programs, first time in its history. He is a role model for staff. He also helped develop and implement E-Z facility and scheduler, current project has stats for all games to be included on our site. He has also helped with RHA housing leagues which have impacted our program with huge numbers of participation, also first in our history work actively with, student union program board, ASI, and kinesiology. Our program also has very good staff and it shows customer service is also at an all time high.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Andi Okoh as the September Rock Star of the Month.  Andi has been an amazing leader to Membership Services staff.  She is a role model to other student employees and is truly dedicated to the success of the Rec Center.  More over, she played a tremendous role this summer with the SOAR program and with coordinating our role in this huge orientation program for incoming freshman.  She helped make sure that the incoming students' information was in the membership system in order to have easier access to the Student Rec Center.  During her time with Rec Sports, she has become a membership software guru and assisted in the conversion for students who were using random pin codes to using student id numbers to access the facility.  This has made it much easier for student members to remember their access codes, since it is now the same as their student ids.  Great job Andi - I know the students thank you as well.

CSUSB Recreational Sports is proud to announce Philip DeMoss as the August Rock Star of the Month.  Philip has been with Rec Sports since Fall of 2006 and since then has developed into a great example of what a Rec Sports employee should be.  He is currently the Customer Service Manager Supervisor and has helped develop this new program area from scratch.  He assisted in the creation of Rec Connections, our employee orientation program. He is a pleasure to work with and is always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.  He has the best interests of his staff and the members at heart with each decision and interaction.

These standards ensure that anyone can read our site, and in doing so, limits features that can be seen on other sites. However, Karen is creative and talented and has taken many of our challenges and made them work. In addition, she helps all areas with their needs. Karen has helped us become world-wide!
