Kari Brandt - Aquatics Supervisor and OD Trip Leader
Kari is a grad student here at Cal State working on her teaching credential. She coaches cross country for Rim of the World as well as doing many other activities on the side. She is a swimmer, rock climber, cyclist, and skier, just to name a few.
Jordan Arnswald - Lifeguard
Jordan is a senior majoring in Biology/Pre-Medicine and minoring in communications. She is an active student involved in Kappa Delta Sorority, Associated Students Inc., freshman orientation (SOAR to Success), and she will be running cross country in the fall. Her hobbies are playing soccer, snowboarding, wakeboarding, riding quads, traveling, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Julian Fontanez - Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor
Julian is a Junior majoring in Photography. As a military brat, he is well traveled being raised in Spain, Cuba, Florida, and Iceland. With a background of 7 years of lifeguarding you’re in the perfect hands. These perfect hands also attribute to his flair for photography. As he takes his love for snowboarding, clubs and raves to portray them as art on film. Julian has also branched out to studio portraits so if you’re in need to model, he can be your guy. As a regular at Bear Mtn. and the drum & bass rooms at raves, he’s never difficult to miss. Bright colors will catch your eye and his distinguished Nike Dunk collection is noticed in every stride.
Kelsey Morino - Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor
Kelsey hates it when she is not working with Kari.
Chris Oltman - Lifeguard
Chris (aka aquaman) is a 4th year Studying Kinesiology and has worked for Rec Sports since 2008! He enjoys swimming and running (in that order) and dislikes eggplants (the fruit and the plant). He likes Trader Joes, movies, Obama, reading and Starbucks (in no particular order). Chis also has a cartilaginous skeleton and a streamlined body. He respires with the use of seven gill slits. He has a covering of dermal denticles that protect his skin from damage and parasites and improve fluid dynamics; he also has replaceable teeth.
Mike Rister - Assistant Aquatics Supervisor
Mike is a native to the coasts of the northern and eastern North Pacific Ocean. Unlike most marine mammals, Mike's primary form of insulation is an exceptionally thick coat of fur, the densest in the animal kingdom. Although he can walk on land, he is capable of living exclusively in the ocean.

Christina St. Onge - Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor
Christina is in her fifth year here at Cal State and is over halfway done with the nursing program. She hopes to graduate and become a R.N. in the maternal/newborn area of a hospital. Christina also works at the bookstore, enjoys volleyball, volunteering, being active and just having fun!
